Relationships are complex and dynamic, and learning to navigate them while maintaining our own emotional health can be difficult.
Woman tend to be internally-oriented, and the emotional impact of dealing with problematic relationships can weigh heavily on us. Therapy is useful in these situations to help process the emotions that accompany difficult relationships, identify potential areas of improvement, and learn the practice of radical acceptance. Therapy is also beneficial in helping identify and set healthy boundaries to protect emotional health.
Additionally, I specialize in Narcissistic Abuse Syndrome and helping women recover from relationships with narcissistic partners or family members. Whether the relationship has ended or is ongoing, recognizing patterns of emotional abuse or manipulation and rebuilding personal agency is important for successful coping in these relationships.
Regardless of whether the difficulty is with a partner, co-worker, friend or family member, relationship dynamics can take a toll on emotional health. I enjoy helping my clients work through their emotions while developing healthy ways to cope with problematic relationships.
If you are experiencing the impact of a difficult relationship, I invite you to consult with me and see if I can help.
